Operator Identity

1. Purpose
This document identifies who operates Mystrix and in what legal and commercial capacity, so that a reader or creator can tell who they are actually dealing with for a purchase, a support request, or a legal notice.
2. Operator and Merchant of Record
Mystrix sells subscriptions and broadcast purchases as the Merchant of Record: you buy from the operator of Mystrix, not from the creator whose story or world you are experiencing. Individual stories and interactions are not sold. The operator, not any individual creator, is legally responsible for each transaction: collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax, handling refunds and chargebacks, and providing billing support.
3. Where to find the operator's current legal identity for your purchase
The operator's legal entity name and address are configured platform settings, not fixed text in this document, because they can change without changing this policy. The identity that applies to a purchase is the one shown to you at the time:
- On your card or bank statement, as the billing descriptor next to the charge. This applies to every purchase.
- On the purchase receipt we email you for subscriptions and broadcast purchases, as the "Seller of record" line, which carries the operator's legal name and registered address.
This document deliberately avoids printing a specific legal name or address here, because doing so risks silently going stale the next time that configuration changes. For any purchase, and whenever you need the operator's identity in writing for a purpose a receipt does not satisfy (for example, a legal notice), contact us through our support system and we will provide it.
4. Creators are not the seller
Stories, worlds, and other creative works on Mystrix are made by independent creators, but a creator is not a party to your purchase. Creators cannot bind the operator to any agreement, cannot transact directly with you for platform access, and cannot promise or issue you a refund. See the Creator Agreement for the creator's side of this relationship, and Refunds for how refunds actually work.
5. Relationship to other Mystrix policies
This document is part of a set that together describes how Mystrix operates. See in particular:
- Terms of Service — the overall agreement for using Mystrix.
- Creator Agreement — the creator's relationship to the operator.
- Intellectual Property and AI-Output Licence — content and AI-output rights.
- Creator Compensation and Payout Terms — how creators are paid.
- Refunds — how refunds and chargebacks are handled.
- Subprocessors and Data Retention — who else touches your data and for how long.
- Content Ratings and Safety, Minors and Adult-Content Eligibility, and Moderation, Takedown, and Appeals — the platform's content-safety framework.
