Moderation, Takedown, and Appeals

1. Reporting
Any signed-in user can report a story, a creator, an uploaded asset, a world, or a party. A story
report may also include the relevant session and message identifiers as context, but a session or
message identifier alone is not an accepted report target. In a World chat, a signed-in reader may
report one exact message from that World; the reported text and its author are delivered to the same
internal moderation queue as every other content report. A World-chat message identifier cannot be
combined with a Story, session, asset, creator, or party target. When you report something, you choose a
reason: unsafe content, harassment, illegal content, a personal-data leak, hate content, sexual
content outside the stated rating, or other. To prevent abuse, each account can submit at most
three reports in a five-minute window, and repeating the same report while it is still open adds a
duplicate count to that report instead of creating a second ticket.
A signed-in creator can also report a sound in Public sounds by choosing a reason. It shares the
three-reports-per-five-minutes limit and sends the sound directly to the moderation queue.
Repeating an open report of the same sound and reason increases its duplicate count. The
confirmation identifies the queue item; sound reports do not currently appear in the ordinary
report-status list. A rejected shared sound is removed from new use, and existing Story copies
are blocked from playback.
2. Review
Reports, together with automated safety flags, enter an internal moderation queue reviewed by
Mystrix staff. A pending item may be escalated once for further review; escalation is not a final
resolution. A reviewer can then approve, reject, or warn from the pending or escalated state, with
the final action claimed atomically so two reviewers cannot resolve the same item twice. For an
uploaded asset, approve or reject also records the human moderation decision on the asset itself.
When a reviewer decides your report, the ticket you filed carries that outcome: an upheld report
means the reported content broke the rules, and a dismissed report means it did not.
3. Account and content actions
Depending on what a review finds, Mystrix may warn an account, suspend it for a fixed period, or ban
it indefinitely, and may take down or restrict the story, world, or asset involved. After a fixed
suspension deadline passes, the expiry sweep restores it at API startup, within one minute while
the live API is running, or during an operator listing or publication
check. Restoration may therefore occur shortly after the exact deadline. A ban does not lift on
its own.
4. Effect on content when an account is sanctioned
Suspending or banning a creator's account also reaches the content they own: the worlds and stories inside them are taken down from discovery for the duration of the sanction, or indefinitely for a ban, rather than staying listed and playable while the account itself is locked out.
5. Appeals
Mystrix handles appeals in the same human-support queue used for other account issues; there is
no separate adjudication system or promised service level. If you can sign in, contact support
and identify the specific warning, account action, or content takedown you believe was mistaken.
If a suspension or ban prevents sign-in, use the public Appeal a suspension or ban link on
the sign-in page (or visit `/account-appeal`), verify the affected account with its current email
and password, and describe the decision you want reviewed. That form creates an escalated ticket
linked to the affected account without restoring product access. An operator will review it.
6. Intellectual-property and infringement takedown requests
If you believe content on Mystrix infringes your intellectual property rights, use the same reporting and support channels described above and in the Intellectual Property and AI-Output Licence §5. There is no separate, formally designated infringement-notice process in the product today.
7. Contact
Reports, appeals, and takedown requests all go through our support system. Sanctioned account
holders can reach that system through `/account-appeal` without creating a second identity.
