Story access, broadcasts, and purchases

Story access
Published, available stories are not sold individually. Starting and continuing a story uses the
reader's guest trial, registered free-tier allowance, or active subscription; the story owner may
use owner preview. The story detail surface shows the current interaction-access state. An old
link does not make an unpublished or withdrawn story available. Tapping an authored clue object or moving a prop to discover a clue does not use an AI interaction allowance. An object that selects an authored Story choice follows the same access rules as that choice.
Broadcasts
A broadcast is a creator message or update delivered immediately or at a scheduled send time. It
is not a story-player event and has no start/end availability window. You can open one when it was
addressed or delivered to your account, when you bought that paid broadcast, or when you are its
creator. A paid broadcast remains a teaser until its completed entitlement is active.
Buying broadcast access
Review the product, amount, currency, and account before confirming a one-time broadcast purchase.
The broadcast page shows a time-limited price quote in the currency that checkout uses. If the
quote expires or the creator changes the price, refresh the page and review the new amount before
starting checkout. The payment provider shows any applicable tax before final confirmation.
The resulting entitlement applies to the product named by the completed receipt. A pending or
failed purchase must not be treated as access; refresh purchase status once before contacting
support with the receipt reference.
If a PayPal return cannot confirm the purchase, check your PayPal activity before paying again.
If PayPal shows a charge but the broadcast is still locked, contact support with the receipt
reference.
For a PayPal broadcast purchase, a partial refund leaves access active; access ends when refunds
cover the full purchase amount or the payment is reversed.
Access troubleshooting
Confirm that the expected account is signed in, reopen the story detail, and check the displayed
access state. If payment completed but access is absent, provide the approximate time, story or
broadcast title, and receipt reference to human support. Never send a full card number, password,
authentication token, or one-time code.
