Creator publishing and payouts
A story will not publish
Mystrix Studio displays separate blocking errors and warnings when authored content is
incomplete or inconsistent. Every blocking error must be corrected before the wizard enables
publishing. Warnings are advisory: review them and either correct them or explicitly ignore
them in the checklist. Use the finding's Fix action to open the referenced story area, then
run the publish check again. If a finding does not explain what must change, ask for human
support and include the story title, the exact message, and any event, branch, object name,
or finding code shown.
Creator earnings and payout status
Creator earnings and statements appear on the creator earnings page. Estimates can
differ from finalized statements, and the automated assistant cannot approve, schedule,
or redirect a payout. Payout settings are not editable from the creator website. In the
creator mobile app, open Payout settings to add or change the PayPal email used as your
default royalty-payment destination. The operator can override that default when scheduling
an individual payment. Referral payout settings are managed separately in the referrals area
of the reader site.
The current-period estimate has three parts: your share of the shared creator pool, direct
revenue attributed to your paid broadcasts, and reconciled advertising earnings allocated to
your Stories. The shared pool contains recorded subscription
revenue. Operating costs, confirmed refund and chargeback adjustments, and any deductions carried
from an earlier period are shown separately and deducted before the creator percentage is
applied. Licensed-performer compensation can cover an exact cast voice, selected expert
recording, or licensed likeness image used by a published Story version. Its session and use
components are shown as a separate deduction from that net pool before the creator percentage;
they are not taken from an already-calculated creator pool. The earnings page reports gross
revenue, operating costs, contra-revenue
adjustments, carried deductions, the pay-period pool, performer deduction, post-performer
creator-pool basis, and resulting creator pool. If a platform-funded cost is still estimated,
unpriced, or unreconciled, the page shows the accounting-close blocker and the period cannot
close or generate its statement until the exact total is recorded.
Your own interactions with your stories can appear in the general play count but are excluded
from the compensation-eligible play share. Plays by free-tier readers can appear in play
counts too, but the pool is funded by subscription revenue alone. Estimates can therefore
move until the accounting period closes and its statement is finalized.
For a missing statement, a payment marked failed, or an amount you believe is incorrect,
ask for human support. Include the statement or payment identifier and the period involved.
Never send a payout password or one-time verification code in a support message.
If you did not make a payout-settings change shown on your account, contact support promptly.
A finalized statement is not edited when a provider reports a later correction. Instead, the
next accounting period can contain a signed corrective statement that names the original and
shows the changed pool, direct-revenue, advertising, or performer-use component. Positive
corrections are payable normally. Negative corrections must be combined with later positive
statements before those statements can be scheduled; the original statement remains visible.
If an original advertising settlement is allocated after its period closed, any unpaid creator
amount appears on a later statement's advertising line. An amount already included in a
statement is not added again. A negative advertising carryforward must be included with a
later positive statement before that statement can be scheduled for payment.
When you get paid
Compensation runs on a monthly cycle. After a calendar month closes, a royalty statement is
drafted for that period, then reviewed and finalized. You never send an invoice; a finalized
statement can be acknowledged in the creator mobile app.
Payments are scheduled for the 20th of the month. That is the scheduled date rather than a
guarantee: a person finalizes each statement and releases each payment, so a payment can be
held or moved to a different date for a particular run. The earnings page shows your next
statement date, your next expected payment date, any scheduled payment, and your payment
history.
A payout is not scheduled until the statements being paid total at least CAD 50. Below
that amount your balance carries forward and combines with a later statement instead of being
paid early or dropped. This threshold applies to gross compensation before withholding.
The Creator earnings page and Performer compensation workspace on web, Android and iOS have a tax-document form.
Submit your signed PDF, up to 2 MiB, with its document type and name. The form shows whether
the Company review is missing, pending, rejected, accepted or expired. Accepted reviews
show the withholding rate. A replacement requires a new review, and compensation cannot
be scheduled or sent without a current accepted document. Your scheduled statements and
payments show gross compensation, tax withheld and net payment. Tax documents stay private;
do not put them in a Story asset library or a support message.
If a statement is finalized and you believe a payment is overdue, ask for human support and
include the statement or payment identifier and the period involved.
